The challenge
Carry a program decision through to a payment staff can follow
Rewards can originate from different activities and programs. Before payment, the platform needs to check the recipient and supporting records, identify problems, and keep a record of the processing decision.
The workflow also needs to account for exceptions: an invalid row, a repeated recipient, a reward already associated with a participation record, or a payment-provider error.
The work
Validate batches before they move forward
Batch processing checks recipient records, required information, payment amounts, and the supporting participation data for the selected payment type. Validation notes make problems available for operational review.
Record decisions and processing states
The application models uploaded batches, approval attribution, cancellation, and reward-generation states. Approval processing performs additional checks and records the outcome for individual rows.
Connect rewards with payment infrastructure
We contributed payment integration and automation work, including Hyperwallet payee and payment flows. Configured challenge workflows can connect winner records with reward generation, while other paths retain batch-based operations.
Give members a view of their payouts
Member-facing payout history connects the operational work with an understandable record in the product. Continued development addressed presentation and exception handling alongside the underlying integration.
What the platform supports
- Batch upload and validation for supported reward types.
- Review notes, processing states, and administrative attribution.
- Checks for repeated recipients and previously rewarded participation.
- Payment-provider integration and configured reward automation.
- Member payout history and payment-related communications.
The result
Reward administration became a connected application workflow
The implementation links program records, validation, operational decisions, and payment processing. Staff have defined states and exception information to work with, and members have a corresponding payout experience.
This gives SaverLife a software foundation for administering incentives across different programs while retaining review where the workflow calls for it.
