From NDA requests to configurable contract workflows
For business leaders managing manual processes, a contract request can mean repeated handoffs between the requester, legal team, approvers, and signers. Telos helped SimpleDocs bring those steps into a connected workflow, starting with NDAs and expanding into configurable agreements.
The challenge
Keep routine agreements moving while preserving legal control.
The initial product needed to solve a complete problem. Someone had to request an NDA, provide the right information, get the necessary review, and reach signature. A useful first release also needed a foundation for different templates and approval requirements as the product grew.
The challenge was to keep the request experience clear while giving legal teams meaningful control over what happened next.
The work
Begin with the agreement lifecycle.
Telos helped build the request flow around the agreement's progress. Intake gathers the required information. The workflow determines the review and signing steps. Participants can follow the request through its changing status, and completed agreements move into the repository.
Give each workflow its own requirements.
The product expanded to support custom templates, configurable forms, legal and business approvers, and routing rules. It also accommodates different paper types, including counterparty documents and internal review flows.
Extend the process as contracting needs grow.
Multiple signers and follow-on agreement operations added depth to the original workflow. The platform models amendments, renewals, and cancellations alongside the agreements they affect.
